Connections Pastor
About this Role:
The main objective of this role is to build community by connecting individuals to the Mercy community, and beyond.
Mercy’s goal on Sunday mornings and throughout the week is to provide a welcoming and safe environment so that individuals of all ages and backgrounds can connect to God and each other. We believe that connection outside of Sunday mornings is a vital and important part of our church community, but more importantly, in our walk with Jesus. We were not created to do life alone. In order to have healthy groups and connections, leaders must be recruited, trained, and cared for. This pastor oversees the processes, systems, and leaders to best facilitate and sustain these connections.
At Mercy, we believe that in all we do, we should also be focused on reaching out and blessing our neighbors. Each staff has an area and/or organization that they are focused on supporting and helping members in our church get connected to. This role will also be responsible for making and sustaining a connection with an external organization so that we can display Jesus’ love to the community.
