Women in Healthcare Connect

Mondays, April 24-May 22 // 1-2:30pm // Empire Coffee

Do you work in a hospital or clinic? Do you work non-traditional hours and find it hard to meet others at Mercy or feel isolated by your schedule? Come hang out with other women in healthcare on Mondays. For 5 weeks we’ll meet to explore local coffee shops and chat about the unique challenges of working in healthcare. Feel free to come one time or all 5 weeks as your schedule allows. Our first meeting will be at Empire Coffee on Stinson Ave in NE Minneapolis. Contact Hanna Erickson with questions.

MercyKids Nursing Home Story Time

Parents and kids in K-4th grade are invited to read their favorite books with the residents of Bethany Health Center. Reading aloud can bring so many benefits to elderly people and kids, we hope to create a connection that will be meaningful to both the kids the residents.

Holy Land Interest Meeting

We are taking a trip with MEJDI Tours to the Holy Land in May of 2018. We’ll visit and explore both Israel and Palestine. Our trip will be a multiple perspective approach giving a more comprehensive perspective of the Holy Land, its culture, and its people. We’ll travel and hear from a diverse array of tour guides and speakers—Israeli and Palestinian, Christian, Jewish, and Muslim, political, religious and tribal leaders, etc. Join us for an interest meeting with Le Que Heidkamp to learn more. May Day Work Days

On all Saturday mornings in May we are gathering together to sort, clean, pack, & move from the Waterbury building to our new location at 752 Harding NE. We are so excited to be at this point! Read more about updates & see pictures at 752harding.org.

NOTE: At this time no childcare is being offered at either location, but please let us know if you require childcare in order to volunteer and we will follow up with options. For safety reasons, please do not bring children under age 10 with you as helpers.

Men's Breakfast

We will be having breakfast at 9am and then we will work on a project in preparation of our move to the new building. The project may be at our current location or the new building.

If you can help with the project, your breakfast is free. Otherwise, breakfast is a donation of $5 and childcare $3 each child. Childcare at 8am for volunteers cooking up breakfast. This will be our last breakfast at the Waterbury building. We hope you can make it and be a part of this exciting process!

If you attend the Welcome Gathering Sunday, at 9:30am, you can enjoy a continental breakfast, meet new people, and learn more about Mercy Vineyard.

Husbands & Fathers Connect Group

Saturday, May 20 (6 weeks every other Saturday) // 9-10:30am // Uptown Heating Community Room (Carma Coffee)

Meet with other men to receive prayer and support in the challenges we face as husbands, fathers, or future husbands/fathers. We’ll be studying the “Love & Respect” podcast.

We’ll meet every other week for six sessions at the Uptown Heating and Cooling community room next to Carma Coffee in NE at 514 Lowry Ave NE. Contact Mark Parriott for questions.
