Women's Retreat Planning Meeting

Calling all Mercy women who love event planning! Mercy is hosting a women’s retreat at Koinonia Retreat Center from March 16-17th. We need a team of women who will help plan activities, make others feel welcome, and help host the event. Women's Book Club

Tuesdays, Jan. 16 – April 3 // 9:30-11am // Mercy Auditorium

Women’s Book Club is starting up again for 12 weeks and we’d love for you to join!  This session we will be reading both a non-fiction text, The Art of Neighboring by Jay Pathak and a fiction text, The Leavers by Lisa Ko. 

Childcare is available with RSVP, if registered by Jan. 9 for $40/child with a cap of $75 per family payable at the first book club meeting.  

Men's Breakfast

Sat., Jan. 20 // 9am // MERCY

Men, this event is for you! We hope this breakfast will feed, encourage, and challenge you to be the men God has called you to be and to grow deeper in Jesus. It’s a time to hang out, eat hearty food, and hear stories from fellow guys in the hope of learning how to become men who build each other and those around us up.

Breakfast is $5 & childcare is available for $3 with RSVP.

@Mercy Wednesday Classes Begin

What is Mercy Wednesday?

Mercy  Wednesday is a night of connection and classes. This season we’re offering a great line up of classes and ways to get involved in community, as well as a weekly dinner to gather and share food and conversation with one another.

Dinner starts at 5:30pm, then we split off to attend classes and/or drop kids at childcare from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Cost is $3 per adult dinner, per evening (kids eat free). Childcare is provided for $3 a child, per evening for 5th graders and under, for those attending a class.

Loving Across Differences - Mercy Wednesday Class

@MercyWednesdays 1/24 – 2/7  (three weeks) // 6pm-8pm (dinner at 5:30p)

Our church wants to be a community filled with beautiful differences! Whether it be age, ethnicity, gender, educational background, income, or personalities. Because we know the reality of living in a diverse community can bring great joys but also challenges and misunderstandings, we offer this 3 week class as a starting point for people to explore how to more effectively love across differences, particularly ethnic and cultural ones.

Finance Class: Mercy Wednesday Class

Are you struggling with debt? Trying to make goals for building a savings account or making a large purchase? Want new ideas and tools for creating and maintaining a budget? Does it all just feel….overwhelming? This is the class for you! This three night Personal Finance Class will teach you practical skills for being successful with money .

A meal is provided at 5:30p for $3 per dinner, per evening. Class begins at 6p. Childcare is provided for $3 a child, per evening.

Marriage Strengthening Course: Mercy Wednesday Class

@MercyWednesdays, 1/24 – 3/7 (seven weeks) // 6pm-8pm (dinner at 5:30p) // MERCY

This 7-week course is designed to offer couples a chance to connect with other couples, as well as time to foster conversation between spouses to deepen and strengthen their marriage. For some main conversation focus, the group will be using Tim Keller’s video series based on the book, “The Meaning of Marriage.” Taught by Scott & Amy Whitmore.

Class Registration Cost: $26 per couple for materials.
A meal is provided at 5:30p for $3 per dinner, per evening. Childcare is provided for $3 a child, per evening.

Bible Study: Esther - Mercy Wednesday Class

This powerful study is taught by Co-Lead Pastor Jeff Heidkamp & Adam Schalter. Esther is mentioned more times in the Bible than any other woman. The only book bearing her name in the Old Testament does not mention God even once. Join us to learn lessons from this remarkable woman!

Empty Arms Gathering

We want to be a place for couples who have experienced miscarriage or infertility to connect with each other. Michelle Krypel, who has both professional and personal experience talking about these topics, will be hosting a gathering on Sunday, February 11, during the 11am service for couples or individuals who’d like to receive prayer, support and encouragement, as well as a safe place to tell your story.

Learning to Minister Like Jesus: Mercy Wednesday Class

At Mercy, we believe anyone can learn how to hear from God and pray for others with power and effectiveness. This core 3-part training, teaches you what the Bible says about the power of prayer and how we can each participate in it. If you hope to be on the Prayer Team or a leader at Mercy, this is the class you need to take.

Gifts & Strengths - Mercy Wednesday Class

The  Mercy community believes God has designed each person with unique spiritual gifts and talents they can use in the church as well as their everyday spheres. We’ll be using a spiritual gifts inventory and the Strengthsfinder™ tool to help attendees uncover who God has created them to be.

Class Registration Cost: $20 per person for books, assessments, and handouts.

Journey to the Holy Land

Travel with other Jesus followers on this multiple perspective journey through the Holy Land. Rooted in Christian pilgrimage and facilitated by two guides, one Israeli and one Palestinian, spend 8 days experiencing the spiritual sites, enjoying the diverse cultures of the region and learning about the daily struggles for peace, justice and security through the eyes of its residents. Travelers will be offered a unique opportunity to learn firsthand about the complex issues facing Israelis and Palestinians hearing from local leaders, activists and community members from every perspective. There will be time for spiritual reflection, teaching, discussion and fun.
