A life of faith requires living in Holy Tension. This life is aware of both its darkness and light, its loss and gain, and its death and life. Join us online on Good Friday as we enter into the tension together and encounter the darkness, loss, and death of Christ.
We want to invite you to experience the drama and the beauty of this moment in your home this year. Traditionally, the church has used the sensory experiences of light and sound to do this. One way you can participate in this is by turning your lights down and gathering 12 candles (or however many you can find!). Place one candle in the center and create a spiral around it with the other candles. After each reading, we will extinguish one candle together, starting with the second-inmost and working outward.
